Suffering from dry skin, especially in the summer, can be a little embarrassing and just plain annoying. I have tried so many moisturisers and oils over the years to combat dry skin but none of them would last long enough. However, I do believe I have stumbled across a winning combination of two products which will keep your dry skin at bay…
Re-applying moisturiser throughout the day is something I don’t want to do. Applying it the first time really is enough of a chore without having to go back and do it all again after a few hours.
Many of the body moisturisers I have tried are great and do work but don’t last. I hate that greasy feeling it leaves on your hands so your average bottle of moisturiser which you squeeze out of the bottle and rub in with your hands is a real inconvenience.
This brings me to my first great find…
Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser
This product is such a great idea. You can apply the moisturiser to wet skin and wash straight off. No standing around butt naked, in the cold with the water off. Apply to your skin like you would a normal moisturiser and rinse.
Packed full of almond oil, it will leave your skin wonderfully soft and smooth.
TIP: Be careful not to use this on the soles of your feet. Take care when stepping out of the shower or bath as it can leave the tub slippery.
Second on the list is this quick and easy spray moisturiser. Great for topping up any extra dry areas, like elbows and knees, after using the Nivea In-Shower moisturiser…
Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula – Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion
Spray moisturisers are such a great invention. They make product application a breeze. Fast-absorbing, non-greasy and non-staining. These are all things I want from a moisturiser. With plenty of cocoa butter and coconut oil, it will keep your skin soft as a baby’s bottom.
I’m usually a huge fan of the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula scent but this time, they’ve added a tropical scent. I don’t love it but I’m willing to look past it for the convenient, simple application.
If you use these two products together, on a daily basis, your dry skin will be kept at bay. Just in time for summer!
It’s been bright and sunny here in South Wales this last week. Hopefully you have fantastic weather where you are too. Be safe in the sun, wear that SPF!
